Kansas City: What You Can Do to Help Diabetes

I had a guest post over at the Kansas City Examiner today and wrote about all the things in the local area. So often it’s hard to figure out what to do to get involved, and while this post was specific to Kansas City, there are things in every city in this country that you can do.
if you’d like to get involved in the fight against diabetes, my advice is to start with the American Diabetes Association’s website. They have tons of great ideas on how to get involved no matter where you live. The other site you should check out is the Juvenile Diabetes Research site. Both of these places can direct you to the current diabetes events, and believe me, there is always something going on!
As I mention in my post today, if you really aren’t sure what to do, giving money is always a great idea! So is emotionally supporting your diabetic pal. There are lots of choices, and that’s a good thing.
